THE 2008 ROAD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN VARESE:
PURCHASING TICKETS

World Championship prices of tickets and passes

Wednesday 11th june starts the “ticket race” for the Road World Championship races.

Wednesday 11th june will be the starting day of the pre-selling campaign of the tickets that will entitle to enjoy the 2008 Road Cycling World Championship on the first row.

An edition of this contest made unique by the availability of a buildingo – the Ippodromo «Le Bettole», that is, the Horse Race Stadium of Varese, turned into a «Cycling Stadium» - which will enable a staging literally unprecedented in the cycling world.

Such a Cycling Stadium, in fact, will show up as a sort of an “English Stadium”, totally filled with huge screens, and will enable the public to enjoy in an absolutely confortable way all race starts, arrivals and passages (every 17 kilometres along the races) of the most important competitions in the world cycling calendar.

The Varese's stage will include a vast exhibition area that will stage events, shows and animations (the «Worlds’ Village») as well as the national teams “pit lanes”, that will provide the public with the show represented by the technicians, mechanics and massage specialists of the various teams.

The Organization Committee, that relies on the BestTicket and IBTicket circuits, has established a charged access (both for the Cycling Stadium and the most meaningful point of the circuit, the Salita dei Ronchi uphill, connecting Capolago with Casbeno and representing the most technically interesting point of the race circuit) only for the three inline races: Under 23 (Friday 26th September), Women (Saturday 27th September) and Elite Men (Sunday 28th September). The access to the remainder of the race circuit, including the Montello uphill, will be free.

Thus, during the Opening Ceremony and the three stopwatch races the public will be granted free access to the «Binda», «Ganna» and «Coppi&Bartali» Tribunes, save the seats reserved by the Weekend Gold Tickets, that will be entitle to full use of such tickets during the whole week. These “Gold” spectators will have access to the VIP Restaurant as well from Tuesday to Sunday.

The Tickets :

First to be on sale will be the daily tickets and passes for the Parterre Cycling Stadium seats (that will grant access to the arrival straight's balustrade) and for the Salita dei Ronchi uphill (in areas endowed with big screens). The purchasers of these tickets, even if they will enjoy the most exciting moments of the World Championship from the first row, will not have seats.

Next on sale will be the weekend passes for the numbered seats in the Cycling Stadium Tribune, and only in the last weeks the turn will be for the daily tickets (provided there is still availability of them).

Prices of Weekend Passes (Friday 26th, Saturday 27th, Sunday 28th September) Cycling Stadium Tribune Numbered Seats - Tribuna Numerata Cycling Stadium – Gold Pass (privileged position, lunch at the VIP Restaurant, one parking place in a parking with to-and-from bus service every two tickets bought): 600 Euros (plus 25 Euros for pre-sale).
